Amazing stay

A perfect place to stay in Coromandel. The camping has very good and clean facilities. A relax place to stay. Charlie is a very welcoming and nice person. I was stuck with my car and he helped me a lot! Thank you so much for your precious help Charlie!

Amazing experience

Had the best time camping here at Tairua! Went as a group and we had everything we needed, host is amazing at making our experience was the best it could be. Short walk into the town with great shops. Would definitely recommend!

Tairua campground is a central location for all the offerings of the beautiful Coromandels. Tairua has everything you need in terms of shops, restaurants and necessities making it a handy stay and stop over amongst travelling. Heather and Charlie were amazing hosts, making us feel at home. Once we arrived we buckled down for the massive storm, they suggested we changed sites due to the wind direction, Charlie fixed my daughter's bike and Heather shared an amazing cake, making the 2 days of heavy rain and strong winds with 2 young children super easy. The campsite is very short stroll to the estuary where the whole sandy area is an off lead dog beach with stunning views of Pauanui and the Maunga. My kids stayed busy in the games room, with the numerous games on offer (and netflix- a must in the rain). Overall so happy with our stay! Thanks for having us at such late notice.

Charlie goes the extra mile to make everyone comfortable. He even arranged that I could fill in a place on a fishing charter that became available at short notice

We would highly recommend Tairua Campground as a destination, well maintained, well situated and Charlie was great, friendly and accommodating an excellent host. We will definitely visit again.

Short Break Coromandel region

We’re amazed at the awesomeness of the host. Charlie goes above and beyond. 1night turned into 4 nights. Large sites to accommodate car and caravan. Amenities always clean and tidy. Loved the jet plane lollies on arrival. See ya next time!

Fantastic campground!

TC is a great campground right in town and across from harbour walks, swims etc. we had plenty of site room, amenities are well kept and had everything we needed. Charlie made us feel very welcome.

Much needed break from business cruising in the bus with our bus buddies - found this gem. Perfect recharge stop, hot showers, great spot for both 7 metre buses. Close walking to town & 5 min drive to surf beach. Excellent cheerful hosts. Highly recommend to all happy campers. Thanks Charlie, we’ll call again.
